Day 1
Embark in Juneau
Begin your journey in Alaska’s capital before boarding your expedition vessel and settling into life on the water. Meet your crew and fellow travellers with a glass of bon voyage bubbly as you prepare to depart. As you set sail, head out on deck where your expedition team scans the horizon for the first signs of wildlife. Surrounded by dramatic coastlines and mountain scenery, your Alaskan adventure is underway.

Day 2
Captain’s Choice
Spend time exploring the vast and ever-changing wilderness, where your route is shaped by your captain and expedition leader based on seasonal conditions and wildlife activity. Spend the day discovering sheltered waterways and forested shorelines, with opportunities to walk beneath moss-covered trees or paddle in calm coves. Keep watch for bald eagles overhead and harbour seals along the coast, with the possibility of encountering larger marine wildlife such as orcas and humpback whales in this remote part of Southeast Alaska.

Day 3
Glacier Bay National Park
Covering 3.3 million acres, Glacier Bay National Park is an expansive and largely untouched wilderness, offering access to areas few travellers experience. Venture deeper into the park, with opportunities to kayak, travel by skiff, hike along glacial terrain or walk on a moraine. As you explore, keep watch for wildlife including mountain goats, sea lions and puffins, with the chance of spotting whales in these nutrient-rich waters.
Day 4
Ice Strait
Begin the day on deck as your expedition team identifies the best options for exploration based on conditions. A flexible approach allows you to choose how you experience the landscape, with opportunities to kayak, paddle for longer distances, explore on foot, or access remote shoreline by skiff. Throughout the day, your naturalist guides provide insight into the region’s environment, shaping a deeper understanding of Alaska’s coastal wilderness.
Day 5
Chichagof Island
Explore the remote coastline of Chichagof Island, an area known for its rich wildlife and opportunities to observe coastal brown bears. Your captain and expedition leader determine the best locations for the day, drawing on local knowledge and current conditions. Activities may include shoreline walks, kayaking and skiff excursions, with opportunities to observe wildlife from a safe distance in this undeveloped part of Southeast Alaska.
Day 6
Baranof Island
Discover the rugged coastline of Baranof Island, including the remote South Baranof Wilderness, where glacial fjords and open coastal landscapes define the terrain. Travel through Peril Strait, a waterway with a rich Indigenous and Russian history, known for its strong currents and seasonal marine activity. The day’s activities are guided by local conditions, with options for kayaking, skiff excursions and walks through forest and coastal environments, including areas where salmon streams support abundant wildlife, offering varied ways to experience this dynamic region.
Day 7
Krestof & Nakwasina Sounds
Travel among the remote islands along the western edge of Baranof Island, where rugged shorelines and sheltered coves create important habitat for seabirds and marine life. Conditions guide the day’s activities, with options for kayaking, snorkelling, skiff excursions and guided walks. Along the shoreline, intertidal zones reveal a diversity of marine species, including sea stars, urchins and kelp. The day concludes with a Captain’s Dinner and a photo presentation from your expedition team.
Day 8
Disembark in Sitka
Arrive in Sitka and disembark after breakfast. NB* Itineraries are a guideline and are subject to weather conditions, tides and wildlife opportunities. Your expedition leader and captain will keep you informed during the voyage.

While our itineraries offer a range of activities, from gentle zodiac cruises to more challenging hikes and snorkels, it’s essential to understand the nature of this experience before you join us. These expeditions are suitable for most travellers with an adventurous spirit, good health, and the ability to move confidently on a small vessel—especially in changing weather and sea conditions. Some shore landings and activities may involve uneven terrain, wet landings, or light scrambling. Boarding zodiacs and moving around the vessel may require balance and agility, though assistance is always provided. Our snorkelling and kayaking program is designed for guests looking for a deeper connection with the places we visit. Safari Endeavour is a classic expedition vessel designed for immersive small-ship exploration in Alaska’s Inside Passage. Carrying just 84 guests, the vessel combines the comfort of a boutique cruise with the flexibility of an expedition ship, allowing access to narrow channels, secluded coves and wildlife-rich coastlines that larger vessels cannot reach. Commodore Suite - 4 cabins
Size: approx. 27–30 sqm / 290–320 sq ft

The Commodore Suites are the most spacious accommodation onboard Safari Endeavour, offering a separate sitting area and large picture windows that provide excellent natural light and expansive views. These suites feature a comfortable lounge area with sofa, private ensuite bathroom with shower, hairdryer, individual climate control and ample wardrobe and storage space, creating a relaxed retreat after a day exploring Alaska’s wilderness.
Admiral Stateroom - 3 cabins
Size: approx. 14–15 sqm / 155–160 sq ft
Admiral Staterooms offer comfortable mid-ship accommodation with large windows providing natural light and scenic views. Each cabin includes a private ensuite bathroom with shower, desk and chair, wardrobe storage and individual climate control, creating a well-appointed and welcoming space to relax after a day of exploration.
Pathfinder Staterooms - 12 cabins
Size: approx. 12–13 sqm / 130–140 sq ft
Pathfinder Staterooms are comfortable ocean-view cabins with large picture windows ideal for watching the passing landscapes. Each stateroom features a private ensuite bathroom with shower, desk and chair, wardrobe storage and individual climate control, providing a practical and comfortable base for an expedition voyage.
Trailblazer Staterooms - 18 cabins
Size: approx. 11–12 sqm / 115–130 sq ft
Beds: Fixed twin beds
Trailblazer Staterooms are located on the upper deck and feature two viewing windows and fixed twin beds. Each cabin includes a private ensuite bathroom with shower, desk and chair, wardrobe storage and individual climate control, offering comfortable accommodation with convenient access to outdoor deck areas.
Navigator Staterooms - 5 cabins
Size: approx. 10–11 sqm / 105–115 sq ft
Beds: Queen bed or twin beds
Navigator Staterooms provide compact yet comfortable accommodation with either picture windows or portholes depending on location.
