Day 2
Tracy Arm & Sawyer Glaciers
Wake early and take in the dramatic scenery as you cruise into Tracy Arm, where sheer granite cliffs rise from the water and floating ice drifts silently past. Harbour seals rest on ice floes while mountain goats can often be spotted high on the rugged slopes, and waterfalls cascade down the walls of this narrow fjord. If conditions allow, venture deeper by skiff for a closer view of the towering Sawyer Glaciers, or explore by kayak among the icebergs. This is Alaska at its most raw and spectacular, with every turn revealing another unforgettable perspective.

Day 3
Frederick Sound
Cruise into Frederick Sound, one of Southeast Alaska’s most reliable whale-feeding areas. These nutrient-rich waters attract humpback whales during the summer months, and time is often spent observing wildlife activity. Exploration may also include shoreline excursions or paddling in protected coves.
Day 4
Chichagof Island
Today explore the remote coastline of Chichagof Island, one of the best places in Southeast Alaska to search for coastal brown bears. Guided by your captain and expedition team, venture into rich wildlife habitat where dense forests meet the shoreline and bears are often seen foraging along the water’s edge. Activities may include shoreline walks, kayaking and skiff exploration, offering multiple ways to experience this untamed environment. Encounters here are raw and unforgettable, with the chance to observe Alaska’s iconic wildlife in its natural setting.
Day 5
Glacier Bay National Park
Cruise into Glacier Bay National Park, where vast icefields and dramatic fjords define the landscape. Spend the day navigating deeper into the bay, observing glaciers, floating ice and the surrounding mountain scenery, with interpretation provided by your expedition team.
Day 6
Glacier Bay
Continue your time within Glacier Bay, focusing on lesser-visited areas and quieter inlets. Depending on conditions, explore by kayak or skiff to experience the scale of this glacial environment more intimately, with opportunities to observe wildlife among the ice and along the shoreline.
Day 7
Icy Strait or Neka Bay
Ease into the day as your expedition team scouts the best opportunities for exploration in either Icy Strait or Neka Bay. With a flexible approach, today is all about choosing your own adventure — kayak along quiet shorelines, join a guided paddle, head out on a shore walk or venture further inland on a bushwhack hike through dense forest. Skiff excursions provide access to remote stretches of coastline, opening up even more possibilities to explore this wild and varied landscape. Back onboard, take time to relax and reflect before gathering in the evening for a celebratory Captain’s Dinner and a slideshow of the journey’s highlights.
Day 8
Disembark in Juneau
After breakfast, disembark in Juneau NB* Itineraries are a guideline and are subject to weather conditions, tides and wildlife opportunities. Your expedition leader and captain will keep you informed during the voyage.
