Nestled in Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands, between Sumbawa (West Nusa Tenggara) and Flores (East Nusa Tenggara), lies Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its most famous resident is Varanus komodoensis—the legendary Komodo Dragon—found nowhere else on Earth. Beyond these remarkable lizards, the park and its neighbouring islands offer some of Indonesia’s most dramatic scenery, where rugged hillsides tumble towards pristine white beaches and vibrant coral seas. For kayakers, the jagged coastline is a playground of hidden bays, secluded beaches, and towering cliffs that plunge straight into turquoise waters. Beneath the surface, the thriving reefs are alive with sea turtles, dolphins, dugongs, and even the occasional whale. Our deluxe liveaboard vessel will serve as a floating base, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the natural wonders of Komodo by kayak, snorkelling, diving, and island walks—before returning each evening to delicious meals and relaxation on board. Join us for an unforgettable journey of adventure and discovery.

Arrive Labuan Bajo. Our group hotel offers a complimentary airport to hotel transfer, about a five minute drive. Room check in is from 2pm. The rest of the day is at your leisure until a group dinner with your kayak guide at a local restaurant. Overnight: La Cecile Hotel & Cafe Komodo (or similar)

Meals:  Nil

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, with the morning free to relax or explore at your own pace. At 12:30pm (time to be confirmed by your kayak guide), you’ll be transferred to our deluxe liveaboard, Indo Master. After a light lunch on your own, step aboard to meet the friendly crew and receive a ship and kayak orientation before we set sail south towards Kalong Island. Here, the adventure truly begins with an afternoon paddle, refresher dive, or snorkel in the vibrant waters (time permitting). As evening falls, gather on deck to witness the unforgettable sight of thousands of bats taking flight against the setting sun, followed by stargazing under a brilliant night sky and a warm welcome dinner on board. (Please note: lunch is not included today.)

Meals:  B,D

Today we have an early sail to Rinca Island where we transfer by dinghy to the shore at Loh Buaya. We’ll be welcomed by rangers at the little pier and taken to the national park office for instructions. Guided by a ranger, our walk will last between 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the circuit chosen. Komodo dragons are commonly seen close to the ranger’s station and along the circuit. After our time observing the Komodo dragons, we head back to Indo Master for a refreshing swim and kayaking in Loh Buaya Bay. Conditions allowing, we sail to Pulau Padar, the third largest island in Komodo National Park, for our overnight anchorage.

Meals:  B,L,D

An early morning start is a reward for those wanting to see the sunrise from the top of Padar island, accompanied by magnificent views over the archipelago. Breakfast is followed by a swim or snorkel before our kayak outings along the west of Rinca Bay and/or Padar Island. While kayaking, paddlers may be rewarded with the sight of turtles as they rise to the surface for a breath of air. After lunch, divers and snorkellers can explore the Secret Garden, a site with a large variety of soft corals and huge numbers of reef fish. Return to Indo Master for relaxation as we sail to Komodo Island.

Meals:  B,L,D

We’ll aim for a second dragon trek on Komodo Island this morning. Afterwards, our kayak outings will encompass Loh Liang and/or Komodo East Bay. Back on board, Indo Master anchors or moors at Pulau Siabah while we take to the water and explore Makassar Reef, the famous manta ray cleaning and feeding station. This is a rewarding site where we hope to see manta rays or eagle rays gathering on the surface to be cleaned by small fish, a fantastic display of mutualism, a partnership in which both individuals benefit. We anchor off Central Komodo tonight.

Meals:  B,L,D

Our paddle explorations take us to Siaba Besar Island, just east of Komodo. Here, the highlight is a spectacular snorkel and dive site—an underwater coral garden lying 4–6 metres below the surface and teeming with marine life. Nicknamed “Turtle City,” this vibrant reef is home to Green and Hawksbill turtles, which we’re almost certain to encounter as they glide gracefully through the water. Later, Indo Master charts a course north-west to Gili Lawa Laut, where we’ll anchor facing Crystal Beach, famed for its brilliant white sands and remarkably clear waters.

Meals:  B,L,D

For those keen to rise early, a climb to Gili Lawa’s main viewpoint rewards with a breathtaking sunrise over the Komodo archipelago (subject to the island being open for trekking). The day ahead is dedicated to exploring the waters around Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut, celebrated for their colourful coral gardens and rich marine life. After a full day of paddling, snorkelling, and soaking in the beauty of Komodo, we’ll anchor for the night at Sebayur Kecil, a serene spot to unwind beneath the stars.

Meals:  B,L,D

On our final full day aboard Indo Master, we’ll savour every moment with an exploration of Sebayur Kecil Island. Its inviting beaches, crystal-clear waters, and gentle trails make it the perfect place for one last adventure of paddling, swimming, and relaxed island walks. As evening falls, we gather for a memorable beach BBQ, dining under a canopy of stars—the perfect finale to our Komodo journey.

Meals:  B,L,D

We arrive back in Labuan Bajo early this morning. After farewelling the crew, guests disembark around 10am for a transfer to Komodo airport. If flying out today, please choose a departure time from 1pm onwards.
