Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the stunning northern Mamanuca and southern Yasawa Islands, exploring this remote paradise by kayak and snorkel. Aboard the elegant and intimate Sea Breeze III, a classic motor yacht, you’ll cruise approximately 100 nautical miles across two of Fiji’s most spectacular island chains—visiting both uninhabited tropical isles and welcoming village communities. Day 1
Arrive Nadi board Sea Breeze in the afternoon

Today is at your own leisure before a 2pm pick up from your Nadi hotel or the airport if your flight arrives into Nadi before 1pm. The guide and group will transfer to Vuda Marina, about a half hour drive by road north of Nadi. On boarding Sea Breeze III you’ll meet the captain and crew who will introduce you to life onboard and conduct a safety briefing. Your kayak guide will cover paddle safety and help with gear fitting. Settle into your cabins and enjoy a welcome dinner on board.

Day 2
Set sail for the Mamanuca Island archipelago and Monuriki Island

We depart the marina early this morning and head 21 nautical miles to the north-west of the Mamanuca archipelago. Our first explorations may begin with a visit to Monuriki, a small, uninhabited island of rugged terrain, volcanic cliffs, white sandy beaches and surrounding crystal-clear water. The Island is a land reserve with truly unique flora and fauna, including the endemic and critically endangered Fiji crested iguana and over 2000 pairs of wedge-tailed shearwaters. Monuriki is also a nesting place for the critically endangered Hawksbill turtle. The island has become a focal point for conservation efforts and a place of significance for the local Fijian culture. Monuriki gained international fame as the primary filming location for the movie "Cast Away" starring Tom Hanks. Despite its fame, Monuriki remains a tranquil and largely untouched paradise and we spend our time here exploring the coastline by kayak and snorkelling

Day 3
Monu & Yanuya Islands

Close to Monuriki is Monu, a secluded and uninhabited island with long powdery beaches. Depending on paddling conditions, we may be able to circumnavigate the island in our kayaks, stopping enroute for a picnic lunch. The island boasts good snorkelling due to its surrounding coral reefs teeming with colourful marine life. Just one nautical mile from Monu is Yanuya Island, renowned for its natural beauty and traditional Fijian culture. Here we can explore the village and during term-time, visit the students and teachers in the school. The villagers are known for their skilled pottery-making, a tradition that has been passed down through generations. A purchase at the handicraft market is an excellent way to support the local community, as well as picking up souvenirs to take back home.

Day 4
Navadra Island

Eight nautical miles from Yanuya is Navadra Island, one of the most northern Mamanuca islands. Although uninhabited, the island has an anchorage where local fishermen and visiting yachts anchor, making it a popular stop for sailors. Known for its untouched natural beauty, it features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and lush greenery. Just two nautical miles from Navadra is Kadomo Island, a hidden gem in Fiji, offering a true sense of tranquility and tropical bliss. Navadra and Kadomo Islands, along with Eori Island and Vanua Lailai make up the Sacred Island group and are believed to be the birthplace of Fijian culture. The islands are deeply respected and hold a significant place in Fijian history and legends.

Day 5
Waya Island in the Yasaw archipelago

Heading further north we reach the southern Yasawa Islands and aim to explore magnificent Waya Island, a place of quiet bays, verdant forest and a stunning backdrop of volcanic peaks. Due to the island’s mountains trapping clouds and bringing moisture to the area, Waya is far greener than other western Fijian Islands and feels very tropical. Waya has a coastline of 33kms and we’ll be spoilt for choice on our paddling outings where we can discover reefs for snorkelling, a village to visit and beaches to relax on.

Day 6
Qalito Island (Castaway Island)

Heading south and returning to the Mamanuca chain, we pull into Castaway Island, known as Qalito to the locals. Scenic snorkelling is to be had over both shallow fringing reefs and in deep water close to the island. On land, there a number of walking trails through lush rainforest, including a hike to the summit for extraordinary views.

Day 7
Malolo Island

The last stop on our island exploration is Malolo, which we intend to circumnavigate. As we kayak along Malolo’s coastline, we pass one or two hidden beach resorts and stop for either a picnic or come aboard Sea Breeze III for lunch before continuing our paddles. Some areas of Malolo’s lagoons are designated for conservation, with the goals to improve fish stocks, turtle habitat and for restoration of coral reefs. Inland, there is a tropical dry forest restoration program where the Malolo Island Crested Iguana Program is aimed at bringing the species back from near extinction. Tonight we enjoy a celebration dinner on board marking the end of our tropical adventure.

Day 8
Disembark Nadi, trip concludes

Today sees us disembark Sea Breeze III back at Vuda Marina. We farewell the captain and crew before a transfer to Nadi airport (for those catching a flight out today) or Nadi town if continuing your stay in Fiji.

Our voyages are designed for curious, capable travellers—not just passengers. While our itineraries offer a range of activities, from gentle Zodiac cruises to more challenging hikes and paddles, it’s essential to understand the nature of this experience before you join us. You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but you do need an adventurous spirit, good health, and the ability to move confidently on a small vessel—especially in changing weather and sea conditions. Some shore landings and activities may involve uneven terrain, wet landings, or light scrambling. Boarding Zodiacs and moving around the yacht may require balance and agility, though assistance is always provided. Our paddling program is designed for active guests looking for a deeper connection with the places we visit. Divers must be certified prior to joining the departure and carry necessary documentation onboard. Of course, all activities are optional—and you’re welcome to enjoy the boat at your own pace.
