On the quieter islands of La Gomera and La Palma, dramatic ravines and dense forests create a subtropical feel, with rich biodiversity and a slower pace of life. Passengers are welcome to board at 6:00 p.m. We’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner and an evening of activities on board. We remain in port overnight.

Today we explore Lanzarote, an island shaped by fire and time. Its landscape is dominated by sweeping lava fields, dark volcanic stone, and unexpected pockets of green that stand out against the stark terrain. With its quiet rhythm and wide open skies, this is a place to pause, slow down, and absorb the elemental beauty of the Canaries. In the morning, an excursion takes you into the dramatic heart of Timanfaya National Park. The terrain here reflects centuries of volcanic activity, with rugged formations and dry craters stretching across much of the island. At Islote de Hilario, geothermal demonstrations reveal the power still bubbling beneath the surface. You’ll also stop at the Janubio salt flats, where sea and stone have created a shimmering natural lagoon. Further inland, we visit the wine-growing region of La Geria, where a unique farming technique sees individual grapevines sheltered by hand-built stone crescents. This clever use of the volcanic soil allows for the cultivation of Malvasia grapes, known for producing crisp, mineral-rich wines. You’ll have the chance to taste these alongside local cheeses at one of Lanzarote’s oldest wine estates. In the afternoon, a second excursion focuses on the legacy of César Manrique, a renowned local artist and environmental advocate. His influence is seen at Jameos del Agua, where natural lava caves have been transformed into spaces of art and architecture. From the Mirador del Río, take in sweeping views over the island’s northern cliffs and the small island of La Graciosa. A visit to Manrique’s former home, now a museum built into volcanic chambers, offers deeper insight into his life and vision. This evening, gather on the Sun Deck as we sail from Lanzarote. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and relaxed entertainment as the ship sets course for Fuerteventura overnight.

Meals:  B,L,D

Fuerteventura is the oldest island in the Canaries, first rising from the Atlantic millions of years ago. Shaped by time and erosion rather than recent volcanic activity, the island reveals a softer, sculpted landscape with wide, open plains and gentle ridgelines that contrast sharply with the craters and lava fields of its neighbours. Travellers may choose to join an excursion designed to uncover the island’s quiet character and cultural heritage. Begin at the Mirador de Morro Velosa, a lookout offering sweeping views across ancient valleys and weathered volcanic formations. From there, journey to Betancuria, a tranquil village once the island’s capital. Founded in the early 15th century, its cobbled lanes, traditional homes and the impressive Santa María church reflect a slower rhythm of life that still endures. The tour continues to the village of Tiscamanita to visit a local aloe vera producer. As one of the island’s most iconic crops, aloe thrives in Fuerteventura’s dry climate. You’ll learn about its cultivation and many uses in natural skincare, with insights into how the plant is processed on site. In the afternoon, we set sail for Gran Canaria. A lecture on board will offer context and insight into the region’s geography, history or ecology as we cruise.

Meals:  B,L,D

Shaped like a shell and known for its remarkable variety of landscapes, Gran Canaria offers a striking contrast between its lush northern slopes and the sun-drenched south. Towering cliffs define the western coast, while expansive beaches line the eastern and southern shores. Whether in the lively capital of Las Palmas or the quieter interior, the island hums with a mix of energy, history and natural beauty. This morning, an excursion takes you into the heart of Las Palmas. Explore the historic Vegueta district, with its cobbled streets and notable buildings. One highlight is Casa de Colón, a former governor’s residence turned museum that explores the island’s maritime past and its role in transatlantic exploration. From there, the tour continues to Bandama Caldera, a massive volcanic crater that rises 569 metres (1,867 feet) above sea level, offering impressive views over the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, a second excursion visits Teror, one of Gran Canaria’s most spiritual towns, home to the Basilica of Virgen del Pino, a significant pilgrimage site for locals. The journey then continues to Arucas, a town known for its architecture and gardens. A walk through the Garden of La Marquesa reveals more than 400 species of tropical and subtropical plants in a peaceful, manicured setting. Later, we depart Gran Canaria and sail towards La Gomera. Enjoy music and dancing in the lounge as the ship cruises overnight.

Meals:  B,L,D

La Gomera’s rugged terrain and limited accessibility have shaped both its landscapes and the way of life of its communities. Over time, the island’s people have learned to adapt to its steep slopes and deep valleys, using traditional methods to live in harmony with their surroundings. We spend the morning at sea, giving you time to relax into the rhythm of life on board. Whether you prefer to unwind by the pool, enjoy a wellness treatment, stay active in the fitness centre, or attend a talk in the lounge, the ship offers something for every pace. In the afternoon, an excursion takes you deep into the island’s interior. At the heart of La Gomera lies Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO-listed reserve cloaked in ancient laurel forest. Kept moist by frequent mists carried in by the trade winds, this highland ecosystem is one of the most biologically rich in the archipelago. You’ll travel through traditional villages such as Hermigua, Las Rosas and Agulo, the latter affectionately known as “La Gomera’s bonbon” for its charming location and outlook. A stop for local tea is paired with a demonstration of Silbo Gomero, the island’s traditional whistled language, still taught and used today. The visit continues to the Roque Agando, a dramatic volcanic pinnacle that rises from the forest and serves as one of La Gomera’s most recognisable natural landmarks. This evening, we cruise on to La Palma. Dinner and onboard entertainment round out the day.

Meals:  B,L,D

Often referred to as La Isla Bonita, La Palma is known for its natural beauty, forested ridges, and peaceful villages. The island’s dramatic topography and fertile landscapes create a setting that feels both remote and welcoming, with well-preserved beaches and small towns nestled between mountains and sea. This morning, we remain at sea. It’s a chance to enjoy the ship’s amenities at your own pace, attend a lecture in the lounge, take in the views from the deck, or simply relax as we approach the next island. In the afternoon, an excursion that ventures into the island’s central highlands. The tour begins at the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, a whitewashed sanctuary that holds deep spiritual significance for locals. From there, the route continues into the Caldera de Taburiente, a vast, forested volcanic crater surrounded by ridgelines and valleys. Along the way, we stop at a traditional 17th-century farmstead, where manicured gardens and scenic vistas offer a peaceful break accompanied by a light local snack. Before returning to the ship, we pause at the Mirador de la Concepción, a clifftop viewpoint with sweeping views across the coast and northern part of the island. This evening, we sail toward Tenerife.

Meals:  B,L,D

Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, is defined by its iconic peak Mount Teide. Rising to 3,718 metres (12,198 feet), it’s the highest mountain in Spain and a towering presence over the island’s diverse landscapes. From arid plains and pine forests to coastal towns and high-altitude trails, Tenerife presents a vivid mix of scenery and colour. This morning, our excursion takes you into Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site established to protect the unique volcanic formations and alpine ecosystems found at these elevations. Ranging between 1,650 and 3,718 metres (5,413 to 12,198 feet), the park offers panoramic views, strange rock formations, and glimpses of plant life adapted to extreme conditions. Walks around the caldera and lookout points provide different perspectives on this dormant volcano, and stops along the descent reveal how the terrain changes with altitude. In the afternoon, another excursion visits Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife’s northern coast. Once a small fishing village, it’s now a relaxed seaside town with botanical gardens, historic buildings and a calm promenade. You’ll visit the Mirador de Humboldt for expansive views over the fertile Orotava Valley, famous for its banana plantations. The visit continues at Sitio Litre Orchid Garden, the island’s oldest garden, home to a vibrant collection of orchid species.
